Education and training

Fiona Stanley Hospital includes a dedicated education facility which offers a broad range of education and training programs to students and staff across all health disciplines.

Comprised of four collaborative units delivering inter-professional education and training services to allied health, medical, nursing and non-clinical staff, the three-floor education and training facility is located next to the main hospital and linked via a walkway. It includes:

  • a 348-seat tiered lecture theatre
  • two small, 80-seat tiered lecture theatres
  • seminar and meeting rooms with audiovisual and teleconferencing capabilities
  • a clinical skills training centre including a demonstration ward, a simulation suite and six clinical skills training rooms
  • a resource centre.


Staff at Fiona Stanley Hospital has access state-of-the-art telehealth facilities which is used for teaching and research, as well as providing information and advice to patients who are not at the hospital, including those in rural and remote areas.
