Nursing graduates from across Western Australia are invited to Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) in June to learn about upcoming graduate opportunities across South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS).

Nursing and midwifery educator Sally Hasson said this was a brilliant opportunity for graduates to learn firsthand what is on offer at the SMHS sites and the GradConnect 2020 application process.

“SMHS hospitals offer something for everyone – we have graduate programs for registered nurses, registered midwives, enrolled nurses and the SMHS mental health program for registered nurses,” Sally said.

“We offer safe and supportive 12 month graduate programs that include comprehensive induction and orientation, targeted study days, self-directed learning packages, e-learning, mentorship from experienced nurses and midwives, and the opportunity to participate in quality improvement activities.

“There are a wide range of specialties on offer to apply for including surgical wards, medical wards, emergency departments, intensive care units, paediatrics, aged care, short stay, long stay, hospital based, community  – you name it, we’ve got it!”

The open evenings will be held at FSH on Tuesday 4 June and Thursday 6 June 2019 from 4.00pm – 6.15pm.
