Visiting times

New visiting arrangements as at Tuesday 12 May

Help us keep everyone safe.

Visiting times are limited to:

  • one hour in the morning (any time from 10am to 12pm), and
  • one hour in the evening (any time from 6pm to 8pm).

All children aged 16 years or under are not to visit.

General wards

Only 2 visitors are permitted each day and only 1 visitor in the patient room/area at a time.

Maternity

Only one birthing partner is permitted to attend with the birthing mother.

Only 2 visitors are permitted each day and only 1 visitor in the patient room/area at a time.

Paediatric

Only 2 designated family members are permitted each day and only 1 visitor in the patient room/area at a time.

Confirmed COVID patient

Adult

No visitors are allowed to visit a confirmed COVID-19 adult patient or COVID-19 adult patient under investigation.

There may be exceptional or compassionate individual circumstances under which these visiting restrictions may be reconsidered by the treating team.

Child

Visiting times are restricted to 10am – 11am and 7pm – 8pm.

Only one family member is able to visit a confirmed COVID-19 child or COVID-19 child under investigation.

It must be the same family member each day. 

Visitors must:

  • perform hand hygiene on entering and leaving the patient’s room
  • wear a mask and protective eyewear at all times in the patient’s room.

There may be exceptional or compassionate individual circumstances under which these visiting restrictions may be reconsidered by the treating team.

Visiting restrictions

Please do not visit if you have a fever, or a cold or a flu-like illness, including symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough, fatigue and difficulty breathing;

Any visitor the hospital who does not comply with these requirements will be asked to leave the hospital immediately.

When visiting please:

  • Wash hands with hand sanitiser.
  • Keep a safe distance between yourself and others.
  • Refrain from physical contact.
