Allied health
Our Allied Health Service offers a dynamic new model of care that is vastly different to that of any other hospital in Western Australia.
The contemporary model offers staff more opportunities and ensures that the best possible care is delivered to patients undergoing physiotherapy, occupational therapy, clinical psychology, acute rehabilitation and other allied health services offered here at Fiona Stanley Hospital.
For the first time in the State, our contemporary Allied Health model sees the appointment of a Director of Allied Health to our executive group.
Our Research Director and our Education Director work with the Director of Allied Health to support our commitment to research, quality and ongoing professional development for our Allied Health services.
Clinical education in Allied Health comprises professional entry student training, graduate support and staff professional development.
The Director of Allied Health Education works in partnership with Allied Health Heads of Service and Professional Leads to provide leadership, direction and coordination of Allied Health education in accordance with the strategic direction of Fiona Stanley Hospital.
Two Allied Health Educators lead and facilitate sustainable, efficient and effective delivery of education and training within Allied Health across the continuum of care.
